Cocky Cub Scout

As you can see, Steven has joined the Cub Scouts, he is a wolf. He already knows the pledge, handshake, sign and promise. Doesn't he look so cute in his uniform?

Bling Bling

Since the day Kennedy was born I have wanted to get her ears pierced. Doug on the other hand isn't too fond of girls with pierced anything. But, I told him he loves me and I have my ears pierced. Needless to say I only wear small earrings so I think that helps.
Every morning when Kennedy sees me put in my earrings she asks for them too. Finally I told her to call her dad and ask him. She said "dad I want to get my ears pierced" I could hear him on the other line "are you sure?" of course her reply was yes and he noted to her "it's going to hurt really bad". She then handed the phone to me and Doug said I don't like it but if she wants to.
I was so excited! I went to the mall with my younger sister Kobie and her two girls. Kimber her youngest didnt have her ears pierced yet so we decided to do both the girls. I let Kennedy pick the earrings she wanted and she got to sit in the big chair. Thank heaven they do the ears at the same time. Her face said it all "WHAT THE HECK!" then it was over and after about a minute of crying she wanted to see a mirror and told everyone to look at her earrings. She loves them and as soon as she sees anyone she makes them look. They are so cute on her she looks like a little princess.

Baptized

I don't have any pictures, but I wanted to share something really special with you all. Bryce and I got baptized this morning at Central Christian. It was not a planned thing at all. Everytime I saw someone being baptized I would cry and wished it was me. Well, this morning, after the message about making Jesus #1 Pastor Cal made a baptismal call(I guess that's what you would call it). I had an internal struggle because we were suppossed to go out to brunch after church(since Bryce is leaving to go to Texas for a week) and knew that would not happen since we would be totally submerged. After thinking about the message this morning, about putting Jesus first, I looked at Bryce and said, "I need to put Him first." Bryce said, "me too". What an amazing experience!! Bryce and I got to stand arm in arm and be baptized!!

Katelyn's Picture Day

I've been getting it from my mom that I don't post enough on my own website, so I made the excuse today to take a couple of pictures of Katelyn since today is school picture day and we'll all have to wait for FOREVER to get to see the real pictures. Katelyn's not much into having her picture taken anymore and there reallly isn't much going on in our lives that is picture worthy, so I'm making this opportunity to just say hi and post a cute picture of the daughter that I love so much. Hope everyone is doing well and happy with all of their adventures in life. We love you all.

Birthday fun!!

What a miracle... I got this precious photo of Dad and daughter enjoying feeding the ducks!! It was wonderful to share breakfast with the Evan's for Kennedy's #3 and enjoying time at the park feeding the ducks and trying out Kennedy's new "wheels"!! It was most definitely the hi-light of our Sunday:) Kennedy is most entertaining and Poppy and I love her with all our heart.

Happy Birthday Kennedy

Kennedy, I will never forget the day you were born what a miracle. My feelings of love and gratitude are the same today as they were three years ago when you came into our lives. You have been a blessing ever since and we have grown to love you more as you mature.
Your spunky little personality brings great joy and happiness to your father and I. You love your daddy and it tickles me pink to know the joy he brings to you. We love you very much and consider you a true blessing we are honored to call you daughter.
We wish you all our love on this your third birthday!!

Our raincatchers!!

The Labor Day weekend campout was most enjoyable with both the Evan's families joining us as well as the "wanna be" grandparents, Wayne and Donna. Obviously, the rain on Sunday did not dampen our moods...played games and our granddaughters always entertain us (see attached photo!!).
Of course, coming home on Monday was a true test of patience since it was a 2 hour trip to Payson:( Once again, a reminder of why we "normally" choose not to go camping on holiday weekends.
As you all know, this year has been a challenge with towing our new toys and why should this trip be any different?? While sitting in traffic a truck pulled up to us on the shoulder of the road and inquired if there had been a ramp on the trailer. He than informed us we had lost it about a mile back and it was laying in the middle of the road:( Needless to say, Craig and my thoughts were first of disbelief and than thanked the Lord we were traveling at less than 10 mph when it did come off. Another reminder of how much we want(and need) a toy hauler.
